As you look through the sale catalog, you will notice
a DAM OF DISTINCTION emblem on certain lots.
This indicates that the cow that produced this lot is
a Dam of distinction. A cow must meet certain strict
criteria set down by AHA to be designated a Dam
of distinction.
Bulls have been semen tested by
Animal Hospital, Superior, NE.
The 4 bull calves were raised on their dams with creep
feed starting in mid summer 2012. They were weaned
on mid October 2012, and were fed with the rest of the
calves until mid December 2012, when they were sorted
off the group. They will have ultrasound data by sale.

• 37Z was our highest weaning weight calf this year. His Dam is a very
heavy milker. He has lots of depth and substance and is a real nice calf.
• A good bull with an acceptable birthweight and out of a great young cow.
He’s got one of our biggest rib eye areas.
• A light birthweight bull out of a mature cow that is a real worker in our
herd. She is the maternal granddam of the Lot 2 bull. He’s a good bull
with lots of maternal genetics in his pedigree. This bull is scurred.
• Here’s a real good Sugar Shack bull with a light birthweight and very
acceptable carcass data. His dam was a first calf heifer. HYC
