Angus Bulls
We are extremely disappointed to report that Yon Future Focus T219 has unexpectedly died.
We challenge you to punch in Future Focus’s EPDs in the AAA Sire Evaluation data search, and see just how many sires in the
Angus breed have credentials like his. The list is VERY short.
Selling as Lot 1 in our 2008 sale, this high seller was selected by BJR Summerford in AL and soon after the sale, made his way
to ABS Global. Future Focus has seen heavy AI use in our herd and we are confident in his pedigree, his EPDs and performance.
What a tremendous set of EPDs he has - ranking in the top 2% or higher for all current sires for Weaning, Yearling, Scrotal EPD,
and in the top 3% or higher for $W, $F and in the top 10% for $B, all while holding at 2.3 for Birth Weight EPD with a +6 for CED.
He also ranks in the top 10% for RADG EPD and top 15% for Docility EPD. Future Focus now has 469 progeny with weaning data
(from 38 herds) that have an average weaning ratio of 102. His 178 calves with yearling data have an average ratio of 102 for
yearling weight and the 153 with scan data earned an average ratio of 101 for %IMF and 101 for Ribeye. Thirty-two daughters in
nine herds have 38 calves with an average weaning ratio of 102. In the 2012 Fall Angus Sire Alliance, Future Focus ranked #7
among active bulls for Total Profit (top 4%). He is also in the top 15% for Efficiency Index and in the Top 5% for the new Maternal
Profit Index.
The good news is that we will continue to offer you sons of Yon Future Focus T219 from our limited semen supply. His donor dam
is still in the program, making embryos. ABS Global had enough confidence in Future Focus to add two young sons, Yon Future
Force Z77 and Yon Profit Driven Z228 to their sire line up – look for them in the Spring 2013 ABS catalog. We are confident that
they will carry on the tradition of excellence that Future Focus began.
