Welcome!
Please be our guest at the 23rd edition of the Yon February Bull Sale in Ridge Spring at the farm. The offering includes a super
set of Angus bulls, Sim Angus, a Balancer and a Charolais. The bulls have not been pushed too hard - most of our February test
bulls were fenceline weaned on alfalfa and bermuda grass pasture and continued to limit graze for several weeks before going on
test on a high roughage ration. Special attention is always given to soundness, feet and disposition, as well as performance, before
bulls are included in the sale offering. What began as a group of 178 test bulls has ended up as 150 top-notch sire prospects for
you to select from.
At Yon Family Farms we take a team approach and appreciate the unique talents of each person who gives of their time and
talents to make this farm function. Many thanks are due to Matt Dunn, Chay Renteral, Rusty Bryant, Nestor Reyes and Pat Harwell
who spend long days getting it all done. Michelle Koon is invaluable in the office and Carroll Dorn, Reid Harrison, James Clary
and Austin Fulmer also lighten the load pitching in wherever they are needed. We also appreciate the dedication and efforts of our
children, Sally, Drake and Corbin, who are away at college. In January, we welcomed Michael Jensen, a recent graduate of NC
State to the team and we are excited to have him on board.
If we can assist you in any way or show you the bulls prior to the sale, we would welcome the opportunity. If you would like us
to help make a list of bulls that might best suit your operation, just give us a call and we’ll do our best to match the right bull to
your needs. We will be glad to make arrangements and purchase your bull(s) for you if you are unable to attend and prefer not
to bid by phone or internet. Hope to see you on sale day - even if you don’t need a bull this year, bring the family and enjoy some
good fellowship.
