Welcome to Cross Diamond’s 8th annual production
sale. I’d like to start by thanking each and every one of
you for your support and making this sale such a great
thing to be a part of.Without you, none of this would
be possible.
I work for the Ford family and could not ask for bet-
ter people to be around day in and day out. The op-
portunities and methods I’ve learned here will stick
with me forever. It’s fun to be around people that ap-
preciate good cattle and are constantly looking for ways
to improve their ranch and everything associated with
it.
I purchased my herd of purebred cows from Brandyberry Cattle in the
spring of 2010 after finishing college. They are managed with Cross Di-
amond’s purebred cow herd. That means theTriangleY cows are expected
to produce a calf every year, maintain themselves, then breed back, oth-
erwise there isn’t any room for them on the place. The past two years
have really made the cows prove themselves and not only did they sur-
vive they thrived. Not only maintaining themselves, but also producing
stout functional calves.
The bulls were weaned last October, then grazed cornstalks and win-
ter range until May.They received maintenance levels of protein through
winter and spring. The bulls grazed summer range in Elwood until Sep-
tember when they were brought back to the home place and were placed
on a high roughage ration. We culled through the bulls in June and then
again in September when they were sorted into sale groups.
I am very excited in the bull crop I have to offer on this year’s sale.
Through some strict selection criteria and the use of new sires I believe
they look better than ever. The combination of LSF Wide Spread
0052X and some Normandy Canyon daughters produced some heavy
muscled, high volume, stout progeny that are sure to get your attention.
Other sires include Basin Trend Setter and Beckton Herald P375, who
have yet to disappoint.
I look forward to seeing you all at the cattle drive Sunday night and
again Monday. Take care.

G r e e t i n g s
from our Solid
Rock family!
We appreciate
your interest
in our bull of-
fering at the
Cross
Dia-
mond Produc-
tion sale this
year.
Our ranch in Eastern Colorado saw an early May begin with Arc-
tic conditions, then drought, fires and floods, yet our cattle have
flourished in this adversity, which makes us even more proud of the
quality of cattle we continue to raise.
Our operation’s mission is to raise calves with minimal assistance
on open, native range pastures, then wean them on forage with a
modest ration, optimized for genuine growth. We place your needs
with careful consideration into the genetics we select when mak-
ing our mating plans and are confident that the functionality of
these Age Advantaged bulls in the lineup will work on the range,
as well as in the lot.
Mission Statement females are hard to beat and our lead off bull
“Foundation” (TR Colt x Mission Statement x B571) is a testi-
mony to their value. Our lineup of Packer, Lancer, Bank State-
ment, B571 and Logan sons offer a balanced EPD offering. We
are also excited to introduce two Marias Grandsons and two Di-
rect Ticket Sons who trace back to Brown’s great Abigrace 7730
super donor cow.
Thank you for your interest in our genetics and we look forward
to seeing you on sale day!

We at Right ON Cattle Company want to welcome you to
the annual Cross Di-
amond Sale and our
7th year of bringing
you bulls. It has
been a privilege to be
associated with Scott
and Kim Ford and
their crew.
Although the year
again presented some
hardships and the
summer consisted of constantly making sure that the cattle
had fresh grass, we feel blessed that we were able to produce
quality bulls to provide to our customers and we are excited
to see you at the sale.
Our goal is to continue to bring the best genetics to our
customers. We have used several sires in our herd again this
year. In our offering we have some bulls from 7U Julian
Twice. He is double bred Beckton Julian B571. Another
sire used this season is Buf Crk Medallion, known for his
great maternal strength. Once again we thank you for at-
tending the Cross Diamond sale.

Welcome to the 2013 edition of
the Cross Diamond Bull Sale
from us here at Straka Red Angus!
I do hope to see you at the sale
and have a chance to visit a bit. It
was a much better summer here
than last we actually had green
grass most of it. I do hope that
the summer treated you all well and with timely rain.
I was able to drop in on Scott and Kim on Oct. 29 to see
how our bulls were doing and had the time to look through
a lot of the bulls that are in the sale not just ours and Man,
do they look GREAT!! It is going to be a super offering of
bulls. Scott and Kim and their crew always do a great job
of conditioning and presenting the bulls for sale, I think
you will be impressed, as I was. This is an opportunity for
you to purchase some of the best the Red Angus breed has
to offer!
