Welcome to our 8th Annual Cross Diamond sale. We are so blessed to work
and live everyday in the livestock industry! Ours is an industry that "works"
closely with God, understanding His power and glory in our lives on a daily
basis-- through rain, or lack of it; sunshine, snow, wind or ice. Its easy to see
that we are small and that we depend on our Creator and on each other as we
live each day.
We are so grateful for all of the friendships and fellowship that have come
our way through this business. Yes, it is a business, but a very personal busi-
ness-- one with high investment in the lives and well-being of people. We are
blessed to work with good people on a daily basis and are so thankful for the
hard work, dedication and ambition of our "Cross Diamond family."
This fall, at Cross Diamond, we all collaborated on a mission statement for
the ranch. Many ideas came together about what, how and why we do what
we do. It has been a great and difficult assignment to focus on a few words
that state the mission of our ranch. Here's the finished product:
"Our mission is to respect God and His blessings of the land, livestock and
people who touch our lives and, through stewardship and service, to care for
these blessings as we provide genetics and services to our customers while rais-
ing high quality beef."
We are continually working to improve the cattle that we raise. At the same
time, we always seek ways that make it easier for our customers to do busi-
ness-- whether through convenience traits in our cattle, or in services we pro-
vide.
All of the bulls, registered heifers and Cross Diamond bred heifers have been
BVD-PI tested negative. All registered cattle have also tested free from any
known genetic defects. The sale cattle have been closely scrutinized for quali-
ty, soundness, disposition and health. We welcome our valued consignors,
whose cattle have undergone the same scrutiny and are guaranteed just the
same as the Cross Diamond cattle. If trouble arises, you only need to make
one call to either Scott or Kim. We'll stand behind the cattle.
As the nation rebuilds its cowherd, Red Angus is at the forefront. This is a
breed that is highly adaptable, docile and of high value in straight-bred or
cross-bred programs. We believe that Red Angus is poised to be the "base"
of America's cowherd, supplying beef worldwide.
