Cow Creek Ranch Genetic Playbook
The breeding goals of Cow Creek Ranch have been to
produce a product that gives customers a competitive
edge. For the past 27 years, Cow Creek Ranch has
engaged in a systematic breeding approach to improve
uniformity, efficiency, predictability in a forage-based
environment.
The Cow Creek Ranch breeding system pivots around
breeding sound, functional genetics within three genetic
lines, all with complementing strengths. The program
includes line-crossing and stacking genetics to produce a
genetically advanced, uniform product. Selection pres-
sure is applied within the system with three goals, prof-
itability, uniformity and efficiency. The results of our
breeding system are found in the breeding pastures and
bull pens of Cow Creek Ranch and with 27 years of cus-
tomer successes and testimonials.
Never in the history of Cow Creek Ranch have their
genetics been more suitable for the beef cattle industry.
The predictability and efficiency factors are especially fit
for an era of upward price pressure on feed and fuel.
Your Opportunity to Own the Factory
The cow herd selling on October 12th made a living
for the Reznicek family for 25 years. Fifteen years ago,
Cow Creek began weighing their cows on an annual
basis and began eliminating inefficient females. The
result was an increased stocking rate of 30 percent over
five years. For two decades, Cow Creek Ranch further sub-
stantiated the efficiency of Cow Creek genetics through
volumes of feedlot data.
No cows from the Cow Creek Ranch herd have been
sold at public auction since 1996. This is your opportunity
to own the factory.
