Thank you
for taking the time to see what we have to offer at Ravenscroft Red
Angus. We are selling coming two year old virgin bulls. We would
like to thank Gale Angus for letting us sell with them again for the
third year. Ravenscroft Red Angus is located in the center of Cherry
County Nebraska on “Three Bar Cattle Co,” a fourth generation family
ranch. We have generations of experience in making a living with a
commercial cow herd. Ravenscroft Red Angus has been developing the
kind of cattle that will work in the Sandhills of Nebraska. The bulls
we have to offer were raised on our ranch right along with our commercial cattle. Our commercial herd is
run on a rotational grazing plan. The cows all calve in May and June out in the pasture with the exception
of first calf heifers that are calved in April along with a hand full of AI bred cows. All breeding females are
wintered on a protein cake and grazing.
Last year the bulls were weaned on October 12 and fed Amino Gain pellet and hay until April 21 with
an avg. weight of 900, then they were turned out with the ranch’s commercial bull herd. The bulls ran on
Sandhills pasture until October 1 when we started feeding them Amino Gain pellet and hay in a 200 acre
feed pasture. We have been very pleased with the Amino Gain pellet for the way it grows muscle.
Last winter we weighed these bulls every 30 days and they have had someone walking through them about
every day, so the disposition on these two year old bulls is excellent.
