LEFTY
We have owned “Lefty” since he was a 2 yr old. He is by a stud who is a half brother
to our good horse “Doc” that our daughter Hannah won so much on and has now won
AQHA Horse of the year 5 times between Oklahoma and North Dakota High School
Rodeo. The mare he is out of was involved in a bank repossession so the breeder didn’t
have the papers on her. However, we do know that she was a Top Royal Moon mare and
we do know he was born in 2006. Lefty has been hauled the most in the barrels. In Okla-
homa he has placed in the 1D and 2D consistently. He’s the type of horse that you really
push. He is very turny and I don’t think you could run him by a barrel. He is also started in
the poles really well. We just haven’t had anywhere to take him. In the breakaway roping
he scores excellent and he’s very quiet in the box. Very cowy and stops hard. It would
not take much to get him finished in the tie down. We have also team roped a lot on him.
Lefty has also been taken to some college rodeos in the heading. You can heel on him
also. Lefty is a horse that a lot of people can ride. He is very gentle and safe. He doesn’t
ever get hot. He could be the only horse you haul! Be sure to keep checking our site.
