Welcome to Butch’s Angus as we celebrate 58 years in the Angus business and prepare for out 17th annual sale. When I look back I am
rewarded with the progress of genetics in our program. I give a lot of the credit to Brian and Greg as they have become the decision
makers for the breeding program. The greatest reward for me is the involvement of their families, especially as I watch their children,
the sixth generation on this farm, get involved and develop their interest in the cattle and daily operations. My hope is that Angus
cattle can be as rewarding for them as it has been to me.
As always the cattle offered are from several generations of highly predictable cattle for maternal and performance traits, using AI
and embryo transfer to incorporate highly proven multi-trait lines of cattle. This assures our customers of cattle that will produce trait
leaders in their herds and help in making a positive impact in today and tomorrow’s beef industry.
Please study the catalog as many of the bulls meet the requirements for Missouri’s Show-Me Heifer and Angus Advantage Plus
programs. To provide our customers with the highest accuracy EPD’s, every bull has been tested with HD50K for DNA for parentage
and for all production traits. This DNA is included in each bull’s genomic enhanced EPD (GE-EPD) which adds predictability to your
investment. As a breeder, you can have more confidence in the progeny of these bulls.
The females offered are a cross section of our breeding program. Our sale feature is an offering of your pick of two of our top replacement
heifers. You won’t find many this good offered for sale. Most
of the cows will have calves at side or be very close to calving.
