Dad will be 80 years old on March 15th. His greatest accom-
plishment is the wonderful family he has raised who he dearly
loves and who love him and each other. They all love God, the
ranch, the land, the cattle and good beautiful horses. Dad has
always loved and raised good working, loud colored horses:
paints, roans, buckskins, blues, and blacks. He has horses with
perfect conformation: little heads, big hips, short backs and deep
bodies; that watch a cow, are gentle, with quiet dispositions and
are good travelers with smooth gaits. His horses are a part of
the family. One of his greatest loves is his mare Milly shown on
the cover and several places througout the catalog. They have
traveled thousands of miles together and she is his true and
constant companion. There will never be another quite like her.
He has had the same family of paints for 67 years. Dad enjoys
convenient corrals, barns, sheds, and gates that save time and
nerves. Jeannie says that after handling cattle in several other
states it makes her appreciate so much Dad’s innovative, time
saving and convenient facilities and she has never seen any-
thing that compares with them anyplace else.
