We are pleased with the set of females presented by our friends and
customers. You will find leading edge genetics, proven donors, bred
heifers, powerful yearlings and a great set of running cows.
Our friends atChar-No are presenting two top end¾Ultrablack females.
If the bylaw revision and proposal passes, these females will be on the
leading edge of introducing new genetics into the breed. Their offspring
will be 7/8 and all their calves will be recorded as 2nd generation
Brangus. Truitt Brangus Farm brings you a proven set of females with
impeccable pedigrees and proven performance, carrying the service
of the most moderate big growth and REA bull in the Brangus breed,
Bragg. Clover Ranch is bringing a set of proven cows with an outstanding
set of calves at side that really showcase the producing ability of their
dams. Their offering is heavy with the influence of multiple trait leader,
Csonka, and features the service of the exciting young herd sire, New

Our friend, Charlie Israel is offering an outstanding set of yearling ET
The Females Selling
heifers.They are siredbyLee, Something Special, Csonka andRobertson
out of breed leading donors. Their brothers are selling in the bull section
of the sale. Lewis and Kathy Rice, spent years putting together a top set
of cows in central Georgia, they are selling the top cut of their yearling
heifers, sired by their good CEO son, 75N11. Danny Haynes is selling a
really nice set of females, many sired by 415P44, his LeadGun sire out of
the 415 Brightside daughter. His cattle have calves at side or are carrying
the service of Bodine and Anderson. Bodine is a Jethro son and his sons
averaged $6,000 last fall. Tom and Betty Davis at Cold Creek Ranch are
putting their best foot forward. They are bringing you a couple of bred/
pairs that are Csonka influenced females and a really special Hombre
heifer calf. You will appreciate their young females and the effort they
have made to present their program in a great way.

the fellowship of other Brangus breeders and partake in the Salacoa
Valley hospitality.
Welcome to the spring 2013 Salacoa Valley Sale. It has been my honor
to work as herd veterinarian for the Vaughan Family and Salacoa Valley
Farms for over 25 years. Form the very beginning of the Brangus
breeding program until present, the cattle have always come first.
Today, David, Susan and their very competent staff do a good job in
safeguarding the health of their animals. This not only keeps out disease
which helps their own bottom line, but also assures the buyers that he or
she is taking home a healthy, problem free animal.
The vaccination program consists of use of modified live vaccine for
IBR, P13, BVD, PRSV, 5-Way, Lepto, Vibrio (camplobacter) and
also an 8-Way clostridial vaccine. Heifers are calf hood vaccinated for
brucellosis and cattle are dewormed regularly and de-wormers rotated
to prevent any parasite resistance. A high quality free choice mineral mix
is proved at all times.
All bulls offered for sale today have passed a semen test and a complete
breeding soundness exam as outlined by the Society of Theriogenology.
They are also negative for thrichomoniasis by a PCR and culture test
done at the University of Georgia Diagnostic Laboratory in Tifton, GA.
An interstate health paper will be written on all cattle sold and I will
be available on sale day to answer any questions you might have about
Salacoa Valley’s herd health program.
