Welcome
Hello and Welcome to Salacoa Valley Farms. Northwest Georgia has been blessed with an abundance of moisture this Spring. The
grass is starting to green up and we are beginning to be able to drive in the pastures without fear of having to call for a tractor to assist.
This will be the first Spring sale we have had since I came on board in July of 2010, and I believe we are offering a really stout set of
Bulls. Here at Salacoa Valley, our approach to developing bulls is what we consider optimizing the animal’s useful life. We develop
these bulls on large grass traps in rugged terrain, with shade at the back and feed and water in the front. This allows us to identify
feet or leg problems before the animal is offered for sale. We develop these bulls with their longevity in mind. We mate our cattle
for phenotype plus genotype and we believe that our customers can find bulls that will meet their needs. Whether you are breeding
needs are for Replacement Heifers, Terminal Sires or Retained Ownership, we have the bulls in the offering suited for your program.
We are also excited to welcome our Friends and Loyal Customers to this Event. Along with the guys from AMS, we have asked our
Friends to bring some of their very best “Front Pasture Cattle”, and man, they have outdone themselves. Thanks!
Since the mature cow herd dispersal in 2011 and selling a set of young cows last year we are in the “rebuilding phase”, so we are not
offering any SVF cows in this sale. What you will find from our consignors is a strongly influenced offering of an extension of our
vision. Many of the females in the offering will be carrying the service of our “Young Guns” and females that find their origin at
Salacoa Valley and Camp Cooley. Two ranches that are “Corner Posts” in the Brangus breed.
There will be exciting open ET heifers, Bred Heifers, 3-n-1’s and baby pairs. At Salacoa Valley, Mr. and Mrs. Vaughan have built their
reputation on offering their cutting edge genetics at auction to the
public…This offering is no different! We are pleased to bring to
you an offering of this caliber female.
In closing, whether your needs be Herd Sire Prospects, Range
Bulls, Donor Prospects or Running Cows, you will find it in this
offering. Please come join us, Saturday, March 30th, for the Buy the
Numbers Bull Sale and Salacoa Valley Customer Appreciation Sale.
As always, don’t hesitate to call me or any of the crew from AMS
with any questions.
Sincerely,
Christopher G. Heptinstall
