Double Bar D Warranty
All age advantaged bulls are Semen evaluated and have passed the test by a licensed Vet-
erinarian. We encourage you to buy insurance on your newly purchased bull to protect your
investment. Insurance agents will be available to you on sale day and all bulls will be insurable
at that time. However if your Bull or Female should fail to be a satisfactory breeder, he or she
will be replaced with a bull or heifer of equal value. If this cannot be agreed upon, an adjust-
ment will be made or a credit will be given towards the purchase of another one of our animals.
Please check your animal frequently and contact us early on if you have any questions or
concerns. Double Bar D Farms will not be responsible for any financial loss above the pur-
chase price of the animal. Double Bar D Farms will not cover the loss if an animal has been
mismanaged or physically injured, however, we will assist you in providing another bull to use,
if yours has a problem. We always have back-up bulls available. In cases where a heifer has
been subjected to any hormonal or surgical reproduction techniques following the sale, the
warranty shall be null and void.
Complete pedigrees
To save space in the catalog we have run only a
two generation pedigree. Copies of the registration
papers will be available at the sale or research the
pedigree at the CSA website,
or the Angus Assn website at

Welcome
Welcome to our 13th annual on farm “Best of Both Worlds” bull and female sale. First of all we would like to extend a big appreciation for all of you
whom purchased and bid on our cattle in our 2012 sale. We look forward to hosting you for this year’s event, again on farm and note the NEW sale
date, Saturday, Feb 16, 2013. Being in the seedstock cattle business for over 40 years has been extremely rewarding through the friends and fellow
breeders relationships. Having the opportunity for our genetics to go out and make an impact in your breeding program is very satisfying and the 2013
line-up is perhaps the most consistent set of bulls we have offered to date; stout made, hairy, big middle, and correct.
Our “Age Advantaged” bulls offer buyers the opportunity for selecting more mature bulls that have been scrutinized very carefully and developed slowly
to encourage longevity and fertility. We are gradually moving more to a summer and fall calving program, but will continue to winter calve a large
breeding group.
The Fleckvieh bull group is stout from end to end. With the first calves being offered from Balboa, Spitfire, Juggernaut, and the other proven sires;
we have diversity, density, and direction. Many of the bulls are all horned pedigreed and some of the leading bulls are polled. Offering only a small
sampling of Fleckvieh females from each of our sire groups, demonstrates the genetic depth of our Fleckvieh genepool.
The Black and Red Simmental sector has been growing and with the
calves from Hummer and Double Bar D Gunner 1W, this is a powerful
set. This will be the last of the Hummer offspring as he is deceased and
semen is gone. Gunner 1W topped our 2010 sale with half interest going
to JayDawn Farms and what a job he has done in both programs. Birth-
weights are very consistent and moderate, and growth has been excellent.
The Red Angus program is focused around two walking herdsires that
have been doing a great job. The calving ease section is mainly sired
by Red YY Design King 522R. He is a “bet the Ranch” heifer bull and
calves have great vigor at birth and quiet dispositions as they mature.
The power Red Angus bulls are again sired by Red Dwajo Allstar, lots of
growth and performance.
Our feeding program consists of high roughage, low concentrate level
including grass/alfalfa hay, corn silage, and oats as a TMR. We want
to develop the bulls with our customer in mind. This encourages sound
feet, digestive, and structural growth at an optimum rate. Take note of
our warranty program in the catalog as well.
Once again, it is a privilege to have our guest consignor Greg Goudy of Swan Lake Simmentals, joining us for this year’s sale. Greg has selectively
built his program around strong cow families and is bringing an outstanding set of Red and Black Simmental bulls to the sale. Contact Greg directly
at 306-457-2959.
We look forward to this event each and every year. It gives us an opportunity to invite you to join us for a great meal, great people, and to thank our
friends and crew for the job they do. Please feel free to contact any of our consultants or Ken or Brian with your questions.
See you Saturday, February 16!
Humbly welcoming you, sincerely,
The Dimler Family
