Hoku (Ho-Koo) in Hawaiian means Star and
he truly is a star. Hoku will work for you all
day long and knows his job when asked. He is
cowy, even-tempered and level-headed with a
spring in his step and an eagerness to please.
Last summer Hoku was my go-to horse when
a job needed done such as wrangling horses,
working cows, or even putting a guest on to go
for a leisurely trail ride. Hoku is willing to learn
new things and retain the information given to
him. Hoku has always been a joy to ride and a
trustworthy partner. Ridden by Christiana Sollars.
Hip # 15 -- Hoku (Bobs Country Skipper, AQHA)
Color: Sorrel
Height: 14.3
Weight: 1150
DOB: 7/29/01
Consigned by Michael Lyons: “This is a nice
little 4-year-old mare that I bought as a rescue
3-year-old. She has about 50 rides. She has a
great disposition very willing to work; she’s easy
to handle no vices. She’s also a very healthy
horse with not a problem since I’ve owned her.
She has a good foot on her and potential for
any discipline that she continues in. She would
also be a great candidate for a broodmare and
she has good lines on both sides. For more
information feel free to call Michael Lyons at
