On behalf of the entire Derner Angus
organization, it is our pleasure to welcome you to our
7th annual Superior Calving Ease bull sale. While
2012 challenged the beef industry with drought and
hot temperatures, 2013 presents an opportunity to
improve your herd genetics by purchasing a bull
from Derner Angus with “Dependable Genetics for
Genuine Cattlemen”. These 45 registered yearling
bulls offer a supreme combination of traits that
cattlemen desire: proven calving ease, low birth
weights with tremendous spread to weaning and
yearling weights, carcass quality and enhanced
maternal characteristics.
This year’s line-up features an incredible selection
of superior calving ease bulls with remarkable growth
from proven AI sires: Connealy Consensus 7229,
Kesslers Frontman, Connealy Impression, SydGen
Mandate, Stenberg Coalition, as well as our herd sire
Derner Focus 790 (In Focus son). These bulls enjoyed
Sandhills grass during the summer (NO creep feed),
were early weaned on August 15 due to the drought,
and have been receiving chopped prairie hay and wet
distillers, Vitalix tubs and Accuration while roaming
around in our bull pasture; they have not been
pushed nor are they fat. We invite you to come by the
ranch and see what they look like.
