- If you cannot make it to the sale and wish to
purchase a bull, please contact us. We will help select bulls for you to review. You may review the
catalogue and DVD to assist in your selection. On sale day, we will assign a third party to call you
and review the bull before the sale. We will have someone on the phone to bid for you, bid online
using DV Auction, or you may ask one of the Livestock Representatives to bid for you. Your bid will
remain confidential and will be handled professionally. When we deliver the bull to you, if it is not
what you think we described, we will refund 100% of your purchase price.

DVAuction will contact you to let you know that you have been approved
to bid and buy at the sale “live” from your computer at home.

Bull Performance Information -
EPDs, birth weights and adjusted weaning weights are published
in the sale book. Igenity DNA profiles, adjusted yearling weights and scrotal measurements will
be available sale day in the form of a supplement sheet and will also be posted prior to the sale on

Delivery -
Option 1:
Take your bulls home the day of the sale and receive $100 off your purchase price.
Option 2:
We feed the bulls until April 1, provide a breeding soundness exam, and deliver
the bulls up to 400 miles at no charge. If the delivery is over 400 miles, we will work with
you to insure safe, prompt and economoical delivery. No delivery will cost the buyer in excess of
$250. We will feed the bulls for you after April 1, for $2.00 per day per bull. Buyer assumes all risk
if bulls are left for us to feed.
Storm Date -
We will make every effort to hold the sale regardless of the weather. The technology
we have in place will allow us to hold the sale in case of a storm. All animals are presented on the
DVD and the sale will be broadcast over the internet on

We will have phones available for bidders to call in and place their bids. In other words, you
can buy your bull from the comfort of your home or office, regardless of the weather or road
conditions. Please call us if you cannot make the sale. We will postpone the sale, if Kist Livestock
cannot have staff available, or if we feel road and weather conditions will place our help,
customers, staff or animals at excessive risk.
Insurance -
Ownership transfers at time of sale. It is recommended that bulls be insured. Kist
livestock can help provide insurance for you. Please inform the staff when paying for the bull if
you wish to have the bull insured. Several plans are available. We will pay 50% of the insurance
premium. We will pay 50% of the premium, to a maximum of 2% of the sale price. Insurance
premium must be paid at Kist on sale day.
Unless otherwise specified, Chimney Butte Ranch reserves the right for in herd use of semen from
any bull offered for sale. This will be done at our expense, and the customers’ convenience.
