2017 Annual Production Sale
These are a highly productive group of females that have continued building the foundation of the current Salacoa Valley cow herd. In selling our 6
year old cows our philosophy is simple, provide our customers with a valuable product that is proven, and one that still has a life time of productivity
in front of her. She is peaking in her dollar generating ability for her new owners. You only have to look at some of the wise purchases made by our
friends and the resulting Peaches that were in dam!
We have worked hard to capture the genetics of these females in our herd and have been successful enough that we can share them with our
customers. Our goal is to drive the Brangus breed in general, and our customers specifically, forward in their breeding programs through the genetics
we are offering.
Welcome to a sale group with Summit Cows and daughters of Summit Cows and Summit Sires galore. Welcome to a sale group that are the mothers
of bulls and daughters in this sale and multiple daughters in the herd. They are balanced in their EPD profiles with 6, 7, 8, and 9 traits in the breed’s
top 35%, 25%, or 20%. As we stated earlier, we breed cows that excel in multiple traits, optimizing their usefulness in our management scheme and
in our environment while bringing in a marketable product every year.
They are the dams of the beef bulls our commercial customers own and who in turn supply the cattle that drive Seminole Pride Beef. These cows are
carrying the AI service of many of the breed leading young herd bulls also capable of driving the breed forward. They are carrying the service of three
trait leaders as walking bulls behind the AI sires. The herd bulls represented in the service of these young, productive cows is hard to match in the
Brangus breed.

We are pleased to offer a select set of bred heifers in this sale. Customarily we only sell the 6 year olds and their heifer calf splits. However, to hold our
numbers constant we can’t keep them all, as much as we want to. We have decided to make this set of young powerhouses available. You will find a
lot of power here and some the freshest genetics available. Many are sired by and bred to Atlanta and Stonewall, two calving ease herd sires we are
fortunate enough to own and who both write EPDS ranking in the breed’s top 35% or greater. These heifers and their projected calf EPDs are balanced
both in terms of performance and phenotype. They are truly impressive.

The open heifers are a special set of females and we will sell only half of the heifers offered. You will find many are out of our donors and many out
of future donors. Sires include Stonewall, Atlanta, Hollywood, New Vision, Marlboro, Three D, Csonka, Kennesaw and Americus. We believe whole
heartedly in the quality of these heifers. We are offering the opportunity to select from the very top end of our yearling heifers. At the sale, these
heifers will be paired two by two. We will offer you the choice of one of the two heifers. The heifer not selected by the buyer will not be offered for
sale and will be retained in the Salacoa Valley herd. You will make your selection known at the time of settlement.
