Greetings,
We would like to welcome you to our 2nd Annual Wood Angus Bull and Elite Female Sale. We
are excited about our sale offering and appreciate your interest in our program. Our family is
pleased to share our enthusiasm for superior Angus genetics with our friends and customers.
The Wood Angus herd is unique in the Southeast, with a majority of our herd originating from
Schaff Angus Valley Ranch in St. Anthony, North Dakota.
The sale offering features an outstanding set of bulls. They are masculine, stout, and deep-
bodied beef wagons that are backed by outstanding growth genetics. These bulls stem from
our intensive A.I. program, staying in line with the Schaff genetics and will certainly add
pounds to your calf crop. The females offered are sound, easy-going gals that are excellent
milkers! Deciding which ones to sell has been tough, and we hope you can see why. As you
will notice, many of them boast the SAV prefix. All of our cattle are sound, easy-fleshing, and
efficient breeders! Our goal is to produce cattle with longevity that will generate profit for
purebred and commercial breeders alike.
We would like to thank all of the Wood Angus team for their commitment of time and hard
work preparing for this sale, and the overall success of the program. John Barnes has done
an excellent job managing our cow herd and embryo program. His dedication to Wood
Angus is evident in the cattle presented in this sale. The show barn manager, Jeremy Feller,
shares our enthusiasm for show cattle and for helping the grandchildren in our family with
Angus cattle. His hard work and tireless efforts are an invaluable part of our program. Their
enthusiasm and experience with cattle have been instrumental in laying a solid foundation at
Wood Angus as we have sought to grow our program. Also, we appreciate the work of our
daughter-in-law, DeEtta Wood, who, in her role of farm secretary, helps to keep us organized.
In addition to our family and employees, we thank the many friends who have helped us in so
many ways.
