Annual Production Sale 1
Another year has passed and what a year it was for marketing livestock. Windmill customers have
topped markets around the area, calling me with the exciting news. The right genetics produce
the right kind of calves. I am pleased with the results our customers have achieved. The “sired by
Windmill bulls” makes the cattle buyers jump because they know the end result will make a profit.
The bulls we are offering in our 39th Annual Production sale have over sixty years of profitable
genetics built in. Our entire cow herd can be traced back to the first fifteen head my father Rich
and Grandpa George started with. What does this yield? Consistent calves; one after another.
Through the history of the Angus breed the great bulls that stood the test of time all came from a
similar line bred background. These great herd bulls excelled because they sired calves that were
consistent no matter what type of cows they were used on. It takes years and years to build this
uniformity into the genetics. We have all used AI sires that were supposed to be cutting edge only
to have a calf crop that was all over the board in size and quality. At Windmill I want the calves all
the same out of the sires we use. We have spent hours tracking down cow families that I know will
offer this uniformity. Windmill bulls will hit the mark.
Once again Windmill is offering a great group of open heifers. Dennis Noffisinger and Troy
Klassen are offering commercial heifers in our sale. Their herds are backed 100% by over thirty
years each of using Windmill Genetics.
These foundation heifers will create
a cow herd that will increase profits
for years to come. Dennis sold steer
contemporaries to the heifers he is
offering, in the Superior Bell Ringer
sale in Denver and topped it with 800
pound steers bringing $1.59. Troy
also topped the Burlington Co sale
with his steer contemporaries to the
50 head of heifers he is offering. You
have never bought better! Windmill
is offering 20 great registered heifers
and 20 commercial heifers out of
registered cows that will have the
option of being registered for $150
per head. Get the neighbors to
talking when they see these great
heifers walking in your pastures.
At Windmill we take the guess work
out of your bull needs. If you have
any questions please feel free to call
or you are more than welcome to stop
by for a tour of our ranch.
