A phenomenal, young daughter of Colonel Chexwood, this mare is as
pretty and structurally sound as you canmake one. She has produced some
outstanding fillies by Dakota Drift. Broke as a two year old, she was very
gentle and easy to ride. Disposition won’t be a problem in this line as this
mare is an own daughter of Ashley’s 4-H mare Tru Moon Crystal who
stood Grand many times at open and county fair shows. Only in a partial
dispersion would you have an opportunity to acquire a quality young mare
like this. Make the investment in a young, headline, classic matron…you’ll
be rewarded!

One of the sale highlights, this mare is an own daughter of AQHA Cham-
pion Tuf NBusy and is also a full sister to Rick Schroeder’s (IA) outstand-
ing performance stallion Double Tuf Chex. This mare was my pick of the
1999 “Tuffy” foals. When we got the chance to purchase her we were
thrilled. She has produced outstanding foals including the DR Shining
Spark bay stud colt at her side for 2012.

Onyx Jewel, a consistent producer of quality foals, has been a great mare
in our program producing several top geldings in past sales, including Hesa
Busy Boy high seller of our second production sale going toMel Prin. This
typey, black mare is bred in the purple. One of the hard to find grand-
daughters of Hesa Commander in the Midwest, this mare is sired by a son
that was out of a daughter of the great Doc Bar Gem who earned over
$350,000 in cutting. On the bottom side, you have some Leo and Sugar
Bars to round out an outstanding pedigree. This mare never misses re-
gardless of which stallion she is mated to and has always produced duns,
grullos or buckskins!
