DIRECTIONS TO THE SALE: 3N, 1E, & 1N of Lake Preston, SD @ 44210 205th Street
Bidding:
Each animal on which there are two or more bids will be sold to
the highest bidder.
Terms:
The terms of the sale are cash. Checks accepted. Checks must be
made payable to Wienk Charolais.
Disputes:
The auctioneer will settle any disputes as to bids by declaring all
bids off and reselling the animal in question.
Handling:
Each animal will be at the purchaser’s risk as soon as sold and
settlement must be made at the completion of the sale. All cattle will be loaded
out by the seller upon instructions from the buyer, but at the buyer’s risk.
Health:
All animals will have health certificates. All females are calfhood
vaccinated. All cattle in the sale have tested negative for BVD-PI. Our cow herd
has been tested for Johne’s disease for 15 years. Bull are vaccinated for Vibro,
5-way Lepto, I.B.R., P13, B.V.D., Hemophilus, Mycoplasma and Foot Rot.
Trucking:
We will work with all buyers to facilitate trucking at as low a cost as
possible, not to exceed $350.
Breeders Guarantee:
Wienk Charolais unconditionally guarantees all ani-
mals to be fit as breeding stock. If an animal fails to perform to your sat-
isfaction, credit towards another animal will be given for future sales. All
animals that don’t perform and are returned must be in good condition
and weigh according to their age.
All of the cattle are registered or recorded in the
American International Charolais
Association
and proper certificates will be furnished unless otherwise states.
Transfer of ownership will be completed by the seller.
Announcements:
Announcements from the auction box will take precedence over
the printed matter in the catalog.
Liabilities:
All persons attending this sale do so at their own risk and the
owner and agents assume no liability, legal or otherwise, for any accidents or
loss of property which may occur.

We would like to invite you to our 44th Annual Bull Sale on April 27th. Even
with all the challenges, including the weather, that are discouraging at times, we
believe the cattle industry of this great nation will continue to reach new heights
as the global population grows, the middle class in Asia continues to grow their
income, the US cow herd still is not in expansion mode, and we become more
efficient at producing high-quality, wholesome beef for the masses. We believe
the vision and genetic goals that we have followed for the past 55 years puts us
in a unique position to do one thing: add value and profit to our customers’
calves. Nothing pleases us more than to partner with you to provide genetics
that meet your needs and watch your calves top your local market.
This year we will be offering a top cut of 111 yearling bulls. We encourage
you to review the numbers, study the proven pedigrees, watch the videos, and
stop in anytime to evaluate the cattle in person. The bulls have been fertility
tested and scrotal measured and will be measured again sale week. Again
this year, all the bulls have been tested for bvd-pi; they are all negative and
cannot be shedding the virus.
We will be keeping 1/3 interest in all of the bulls unless otherwise stated.
This is simply so that we can collect semen on a bull at our expense and at
your convenience if we so choose for AI use within our herd. Also, if a bull
turns out to be a great one, this allows us to promote him through our
resources, thereby generating income equal to 2/3 of the profit for you.
You may have noticed that we have not held a female sale for a couple of
years nor will you find females for sale in this catalog. We view our maternal
base as the ‘factory’ that produces the quality bulls that our customers count
on. A select group of open heifers will be available on a first come-first serve,
private treaty basis starting Thursday of sale week. Please contact us for more
information if you are interested.

sale bulls, and to learn more about our operation. Again this year we will
have online viewing and bidding through DVAuction. If you are unable to
attend the sale and leave a confidential bid with Arnold, Jeff, Sterling, or any
of the sale representatives, we always guarantee your satisfaction when the
cattle arrive or you don’t own them.

11:30AM with the sale getting underway at 1:00 PM. Please don’t hesitate to call
