The Thomas family would like to take this opportunity to welcome all of you to our upcoming bull sale. This
will be our 41st annual sale and will be held Tuesday, April 9, at the ranch north of Harrold, SD or east of Onida.
The cattle business has had it ups and downs this past year and it appears 2013 will be no different. With the
record prices for feeder and fat cattle and the low cow numbers, you have to say the future looks bright. No one
can forget the drought and high input costs for feed, fuel and everything else. It is definitely time for all of us to
step up our focus on quality and efficiency. With calf prices what they are, it won’t take many to upgrade the herd
bull battery. Genetics continue to improve and the data keeps getting more accurate on these cattle. All these tools
help in breeding selections to make these cattle better and more profitable.
Here at Thomas Ranch we use proven, tested genetics that consistently produce market topping calves and
leave outstanding replacement females. You can feel confident that these are some of the top bloodlines available
anywhere in the country and they are backed by our Thomas Ranch guarantee.
The bulls are all fed here at the ranch and are available for your inspection. If you would like assistance in
selecting or purchasing your bull(s), please give us a call. This year’s offering has a wide variety of genetics and we
feel we are offering bulls to cover all our customers’ needs. Every year we purchase bulls for customers on order.

counts on 5 or more bulls.

TERMS
- The terms of the sale are cash or check payable at the sale facility
unless satisfactory credit arrangements have been made prior to the sale. The
right of property shall not pass until after settlement is made. All settlements
must be made with the clerks of the sale before any cattle will be released
or transferred.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
- Errors discovered in the catalog will be corrected by
announcements from the auction block at sale time, and such corrections will
take precedence over the printed material in the catalog.
Volume discounts
- 5% on 5 or more bulls purchased, and 10% for 10 or
more bulls purchased. Any credits will be deducted before volume discounts
are figured.
BREEDER’S BULL GUARANTEE
- Bulls selling for more than $2500 are guar-
anteed for 90 days from first turnout against breeding injury. If a replacement
bull is available, he will be provided. If a replacement bull is not available,
credit will be given in next year’s Thomas Ranch Bull Sale. Credit will be for the
purchase price less volume discounts and salvage value of the injured bull to
be used for the purchase of one replacement bull. Please notify us as soon as
possible should injury occur and prior to the injured bull being sold for salvage.
All claims must be made prior to Oct. 1, 2012. This is not a mortality insurance
policy. Mortality insurance will be available sale day through American Live-
stock Insurance with Jerry Mettler.Any deviations from the above statement
will be worked out between the buyer and Thomas Ranch.
ACCIDENTS AND LIABILITIES
- All persons attend the sale at their own risk.
The seller and sales management assume no liability, legal or otherwise, for
any accidents occurring in, on, or about the premises. The buyers must look to
the seller for fulfillment of all guarantees and representations made hereunder.
