We are very pleased with the consistency and power that all of the progeny
out of Shania possess. This pair of full sisters exemplifies exactly what we
had in mind for Shania to produce. As many of you know that in the past
few sales the Shania family has made a big splash. At last year’s female sale
alone six females by three different sires averaged $5025. Those animals
went to the herds VanAerman, Gerdes, Thompson, Steele and JRW. The
high-selling Shania female from the 2012 sale sold for $9,500 to Holly
Springs Simmental and was exhibited Krista Barb. That female collected lots
of banners all summer long and was 3rd overall at the Eastern Regionals.
In addition to top-notch females an Upgrade sired Shania son, Y134 just
sold for $4,900 in our bull sale going to work for Colby Warren of AL. We
thought so much of Y134 that we used him in our own herd and there are
several calves selling sired by him. We know we are just getting started on
this genetic gem’s potential. We feel that this pair of Star Player heifers can
offer any program many things. With an impressive set of numbers and the
striking phenotype to back it up, the sky is the limit.
