The Bull Offering
Welcome to our Buy the Numbers Bull Sale offering. We run the numbers so you don’t have to. This spring we are offering
the top end herd sire prospects and elite range bulls you have come to expect from Salacoa Valley. Look closely and you will
find Full brothers to some of the breed’s most powerful and popular young herd sires. They are backed by the top cows from
the Salacoa Valley and Brinks cow herds, curve bending cows that blend the highly antagonistic traits of BW and Growth
and REA and IMF and SC. There are powerful, curve bending, light birth weight Lambert sons, R532 sons and Patton sons
in the offering.
We have in this offering more top end range bulls than ever before. They are big footed; structurally sound bulls with more
muscle. They come in a user friendly package and have been developed in large grass traps featuring 100 feet elevation
changes. They are capable of traveling the country and covering your cows. The bottom line is they have been developed
with their long term usefulness and longevity in mind. These are not your father’s SVF bulls. As a matter of fact, when
you search all active Brangus bulls in the breed, 10 of the top 20 bulls for REA, are SVF prefix or sold through the Salacoa
Valley Sale. Consider the powerful phenotype present in the bulls in this offering, and you can appreciate their numerical
superiority even more.
We would like to add a quick word about the EPDs and the weights and measures you see. EPDs are expected progeny
differences. They are predictors of the future performance of that bull’s calves. EPDs are the most comprehensive breeding
tool available in the industry. They encompass pedigree, actual measures of individual performance, in-herd ratios and
environment. They are calculated on a breed wide basis and make comparisons and rankings possible from one breeder
to another and between groups of bulls in different parts of the country. EPDs rank cow herds and individuals within cow
herds, more accurately than any other piece of performance data and individual measurements you can look at, because
they are comprehensive and use all the information to arrive at the predicted values.
We invite you to come to Salacoa Valley, March 30th, attend the sale and “Buy The Numbers”.
