• Heartrate was a bull we thought was one of the most complete perfor-
mance bulls to sell this spring. He sold to CRV stud for $19,000.
• Massive in his rear quarter, with depth of body, outstanding feet and
legs and an outstanding EPD profile. And to top it all off, the greatest
Brushpopper ever to walk the pastures.
• We used Heartrate heavily last spring and will use heavily again this
spring as we are anxiously awaiting his first calves. We felt adding the
Jilt cow family into the Heartbeat line will make Heartrate a better breed-
ing son than his dad. His grandam is the dam of Mohnen Hulk Y2181,
the Rod Rohde and Genex sire who commanded $16,000. Last but not
least a great-grandam of Jilt 910 won’t hurt a thing.
• We have had calves by Heartbeat the last two years. He has done as
good of job for us in terms of adding a lot of muscle, added growth and
excellent feet and leg structure.
