Our History
Miller Brangus is owned by E.D. Miller “Dad”, along with sons Bert
and Doyle, and located in lower middle Tennessee, just northeast of
Waynesboro. The Brangus part of the cattle operation started in 1981,
when Dad purchased the ranch’s first registered Brangus bull and 25
commercial Brangus heifers. He had decided upon Brangus due to
milk value, calving ease, heat and parasite tolerance, ample growth and
the ability to thrive on fescue. His insight into this practical breed set in
motion a program whose primary purpose was to strive to become one
of the premier seed stock producers in the industry. Today our ranch is
a beautiful place and “Dad” continues to help us make it that way and to
develop our resources within our fences. For that we are grateful.
Miller Brangus Ranch is very hilly with significant changes in elevation in
any every pasture. It can also be very tough environmentally including
brutal winters with snow, ice, and sub-freezing temperatures and
summers can be extremely hot and dry, often experiencing droughts and
Welcome
On behalf of Miller Brangus, we would like to invite you to our ranch for
our annual bull and female sale. We can share a meal together. We can
visit with old friends. Maybe meet some new people and view some good
cattle.
The bull offering has several herd sire prospects for the registered
breeders and top end range bulls for the commercial bull buyers. They
will work well for their new owners.
We have always been proud of the set of registered females that we have
sold in the past. However, this year we dug deeper in the herd, and we
are offering the best set of females we have ever sold. Evaluate the cattle
for yourself. I believe you will come to appreciate the cattle as much as
we do.
Sincerely,
E.D., Bert, and Doyle Miller
