GENERAL INFORMATION
LOCATION:
Sedalia, Missouri is located on U.S. Highway 65
and U.S. 50, 18 miles South of Interstate 70 which runs between
Kansas City and St. Louis. Fairgrounds is located along U.S.
65.
AIR SERVICE:
Sedalia is located about two and one-half hours
from the Kansas City International Airport which is served by
most major airlines. Most major car rental agencies are
available; advanced reservations advised.
MOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS:
The Sedalia Chamber of
Commerce is maintaining a list of rooms, both motel and private,
and their availability in and around Sedalia. They can be
reached at 800/827-5295 or at 660/826-2222.

EMERGENCY NUMBERS:
Emergency calls will be handled by
the following: 660/827-8150 (State Fair, Daytime) and 660/530-
5612 (State Fair, Days & Evenings). Every attempt will be made
to get messages to consignors and buyers.
TERMSANDCONDITIONS
TERMS:
Cash on Sale Day. Canadian and Mexican buyers must
pay in U.S. funds. Goats purchased on order must be paid for
within 10 days of Sale Day. A 10% surcharge will be assessed
to any insufficient funds checks issued. The Auctioneer’s
decision will be final on any dispute as to bids. Substitute
entries will be designated with a bar under the lot number. All
animals are at purchaser’s risk as soon as sold.
REGISTRATIONS:
All Sheep and Boer Goats, except Crossbred
Wether Sires & Dams and Club Lambs, are registered and will
be transferred to purchasers at the consignor’s expense.
Shipping: Each consignor will be responsible for shipping
arrangements of sheep purchased on order. Shipping can be
arranged by the sale manager by truck to most all sections of
the country at very nominal cost if notified in advance of the sale.
HEALTH:
All goats will have standard Interstate Health
Certificates plus Negative CAE tests. Buyers should be aware
of any special Entry Permit Requirements for their own state or
country.

CANADIANORMEXICAN EXPORT:
Canadian or Mexican buyers
should be familiar with the Import Protocols required by their
country. Costs for any special tests required, over and above
those required by the Sale in general and Federal Health
Certificates for Export, plus shipping costs to Export Stations
on the border, will be at the expense of the Buyer. The sale
managers will assist in making these arrangements as best
they can upon request.
MAIL BID SERVICE:
Those buyers unable to attend the sale
who wish to buy sheep on “Mail Bid” may do so by contacting
the person of their choice associated with the sale. Among
those able to assist in this regard are the Sale Managers, the
Judge, the Auctioneer, Sale Ringmen or any consignor.
SALEGUARANTEE
EXCEPT FOR THOSE STATED IN THE BELOW GUARANTEE, THERE ARE NO
WARRANTIES, EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, AS TO THE MERCHANT
ABILITY OR FITNESS FOR APARTICULAR PURPOSE WITH RESPECT TO THE
SHEEP BEING SOLD IN THIS SALE.
THE WARRANTIES AND GUARANTEES SET FORTH IN THE BELOW
GUARANTEE ARE IN LIEU OF ALL OTHERWARRANTIES, EITHER EXPRESSED
OR IMPLIED, AND THE REMEDIES PROVIDED THEREIN SHALL BE THE
SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY OF THE BUYER, OR ANY PARTY CLAIMING
THROUGH THE BUYER, FOR ANY BREACH OF WARRANTY OR GUARANTEE
THEREIN PROVIDED, AND ALL OTHER OBLIGATIONS OR LIABILITIES.
1) Every buck and doe sold will be guaranteed as a breeder if properly handled. It
shall be the responsibility of the buyer to return a non-breeder to the seller in
acceptable breeding condition. The seller, after a fair trial and the animal is
found to be a non-breeder, shall have the privilege of replacing the buck or doe
with one of equal value to the satisfaction of the buyer and seller, or refunding
the purchase price. This guarantee shall not apply to any goats that are shown
subsequent to the date of the sale.
2) Notification of non-breeder bucks must be made to the seller prior to January
1 following the sale; notification of non-breeder does must be made to the seller
prior to April 1 following the sale.
3) Neither the Sale Managers nor the sponsoring organization can or will assume
any responsibility as to the authenticity of the pedigrees or bloodline information
provided in the sale catalog, or pen cards, or otherwise, and the subsequent
genetic performance of any goats purchased. All such information must be
accepted at face value. Any special guarantees or claims offered by individual
consignors is strictly between the consignor and buyer, and will not be enforced
by the Sale Managers or the sponsoring organization, Missouri Sheep Producers.
4) This guarantee shall constitute a contract between the buyer and the seller
only, and no other parties assume any liability, legal or otherwise, expressed or
implied.
