In an effort to help you make the best breed-
ing decision possible and offer you the most
insight into our herd we have established a
ranking system. Each lot has been ranked with
one to four stars on Calving Ease, Maternal,
and Growth.
Calving Ease Criteria: 4 Stars = Easy Calving
1. The bull’s actual birth weight.
2. The bull’s pedigree as well as bull of the
same pedigree.
3. The structural and muscular make of the bull.
Maternal Criteria: 4 Stars= Very Maternal Sire
1. His mother’s milking ability, fleshing ability and
her efficiency. The cow’s size is compared to
how much the bull weaned at.
2. The bull’s phenotype, structure, rib shape,
fleshing ability and disposition.
3. The bull’s maturity and scrotal size.
Growth Criteria: 4 Stars= More Growth
1. Weaning Weight
2. Yearling Weight
3. ADG from birth
4. Phenotype

Nothing but the best to start the sale off with. This Excalibur
son is great fronted, good in his body depth, and has a perfect
designed hind leg. He is out of a great Meyer cow that never
misses. This bull possesses that impeccable look about him,
he’s great haired and large boned. We feel he would make an
excellent show bull if somebody decided to go that route.
