JA Tequita Drift is a genuine cowhorse / performance stallion bred
and built in the tradition of the all-around Quarter Horse. Through
sire Special Drift, he is double-bred to the great South Dakota rope
horse stallion Wilywood making four crosses to Driftwood. Dam
Tequita Dolly May, a landmark Jamison mare, originated from the
famed Tequesquite Ranch, New Mexico, and Albert Mitchell’s foun-
dation AQHA mare band. Tequita is a good looking, medium-sized,
well balanced, shapey horse with flawless, low hocked structure. A
potent breeder of his dun color factor, this Grullo sires standup,
strong, shapey performance geldings. Owner Shannon Creek Cattle
