6 – Quality Genetics Built on a Heritage of Commitment
In Loving Memory
At 100 years of age, our beloved grandmother passed away on January 10, 2013.
Bertha was born in South America in the pampas near the town of Machachin. In
1914, she and her family immigrated to the United States. Bertha married Tony
Obrigewitch in 1931 and farmed and ranched north of Belfield, ND, where they
raised 13 children. Grandma always seemed to have her grandchildren around
and we thought we had the best grandma in the world. She was a unique woman
that spoke several languages including English, Spanish and German. She always
had a huge hug and a kiss for us and always said “liebe” (German-love) to us
when we left. We will truly miss her!
