Welcome to the 2013 Ellingson Angus Sale! It is truly a pleasure to work with this great Angus family and to witness firsthand
their commitment to breeding superior Angus cattle. They work hard to ensure that their customers continue to have success
with Ellingson genetics.
This year’s bull offering is, without question, the deepest set of bulls ever offered at Ellingson Angus. Chad and his family maintain one of the top Angus
cowherds in the entire breed. The cows are functional from end to end with superior feet and legs. They have added capacity, maintain the right amount of
power and performance and still maintain their femininity. The strength and uniformity of the Ellingson cowherd is evident throughout this entire bull offer-
ing, as these bulls offer a great deal of consistency in their type and kind and are extremely sound-structured with added mass, natural stoutness and rug-
gedness. There will be several top-end herdsire kind of bulls selling this year sired by proven and prominent A.I. sires with outstanding performance and,
most importantly, backed by multiple generations of the Ellingson family breeding program. The industry’s most prominent and successful cattle producers
have invested in Ellingson genetics for years and have seen the value that can be added if one incorporates them into a program.
This year’s female offering is also deeper than any past sale offering. Highlighting the event will be a maternal sister to Ellingson Scotsman 0010, along
with an outstanding donor sired by Tehama Blackcap Revolution from the proven and prominent Evergreen family. There will be an exceptional set of
spring yearling replacement females selling. These heifers offer the same consistency and uniformity as the bulls. The females are extremely fancy in their
makeup, stout in their appearance and still maintain the femininity and functionality that is important to the Ellingson program.
