Lot 77 is one of the best Upward sons that has come along. His
cow family, impressive phenotype and DNA analysis make
him a high-potential young sire. A full brother, that was the
result of embryos we sold to Anvil Angus in Australia five
years ago, has become a popular young A.I. sire in Australia.
His dam is the $17,500 half-interest female from our 2010
sale that sold to Kiamichi Link Angus of Oklahoma and is
one of the most impressive females ever to walk our pastures.
Ultimate has more rib shape and muscle definition than most
Upward sons. His maternal granddam is from the tremendous
Emblynette cow family and is quite possibly the best cow ever
produced by Martin and Angie Schaff.

Lot 78 does a lot of things right on the phenotypic side of the
equation, and he has a strong EPD package on the genotypic
side. He is a disciplined-sized bull with an extra wide stance
and thickness from end to end. His dam is a big-bodied Sauga-
hatchee granddaughter with ideal teat size and placement. His
maternal grandsire has produced many big-volumed cows that
have excelled in our herd. This bull combines great perfor-
mance and daughter-making ability. A maternal brother sold
to Chris and Tina Nixon of Bismarck.
