This is the first group of Scotsman progeny to
sell, and the group will highlight this sale.
Scotsman himself was our high-selling bull in
2011,
selling to Carstens Farms and Select Sires for
$80,000. He has been one of the heaviest sampled sires
of the 2010 calf crop in the entire breed.
Scotsman’s first progeny have the same true
Angus breed character that he possesses. They have a
moderate frame and an excellent structure.
It appears that Scotsman is safe to use on first-
calf heifers, and that he has the abil-
ity to sire additional base width and
rib capacity.
His maternal sister is a feature
of this sale as lot 119.

Lot 18 is the stoutest of all the Scotsman sons in the offering.
He is a big-middled bull with extra thickness and capacity. He
comes from
a very
produc-
tive line of
females that
have done
very well
for our fam-
ily. Lot 18’s
dam has
other sons
working as
herdsires
for Prairie
Diamond
Ranch of Hebron and Gene and Gynell Harris of Killdeer. We
retained one of her daughters for our herd, and she appears to
be one of the up-and-coming females here.
