Welcome
Cattlemen and friends,
We welcome you to our 28th Annual Sale. With great appreciation we thank you for taking an interest in our program.
We continue to strive to produce the best genetics we can so they are the most profitable for our customers. You can
count on Eggleston Bulls.
It has been another great year and I can’t think of a better way to make a living! The mild winter has been a joy
and great for saving feed and time. It’s nice to see some snow on the ground and proof that our weather patterns are
changing. With the right weather, there is no better place to live and to be a beef producer than in the Midwest.
The Charolais family lost a great cattleman and my friend, Gilb.ert Link. I enjoyed every conversation that Gilb.ert and
I had over the years. He was the owner of M6 Gridmaker and the breeder of EC Gunner Wind. He was a great loss this
past year to the Charolais Breed. Gilb.ert left the reins to his Grandson, Chris Link, who I’m sure will keep the great
Link tradition strong.
Last year we were hoping our dear family friend, Leroy Atkins, would soon get the call for a kidney transplant. We are
happy to report that Leroy recently got the call and received his new kidney. He is now on the road to recovery.
We are excited about this year’s offering. This group of bulls may be the most uniform and powerful set yet. The feed
efficiency, performance, and disposition are second to none.
We are featuring 30 sons of the great T077. This sire group is very impressive and will do great things for you and your
program.
Due to the number of heifers born last spring, we are selling 13 fancy replacement heifers in this year’s sale. While we
intended to keep these heifers, we have to let some of these good females go.
As in the past, I am retaining 1/3 semen interest of every bull in the sale. This does not change anything for you, the
buyer. It only means that I may want to collect some semen (at my expense and at your convenience) for use in my
herd or if I want to help promote a certain bull or blood line. Using our own genetics has really strengthened our
program. We are making every effort to improve genetics that we can pass along to our customers. You still get all the
salvage value when you are done with the bull.
We thrive on your satisfaction. For those of you that can’t make it to the sale, we will do whatever we can to help you
with your selections. If you talk to us about buying a bull sight unseen, we guarantee he will meet your criteria and
you’ll be happy with your purchase or you don’t own the
bull. DVAuction will again be an option for those of you
who are unable to attend the sale.
We encourage you to stop by the ranch and walk through
the bulls with us. To view videos, colored photos, and
t our website at
eston Charolais, we thank you
for your continued interest in our cattle. We look forward
to seeing you at the sale and working with you in the years
to come.
