Benefit Auction
Lot XXX – Buyer’s Choice of One Heifer out of
Lots 241-255
Hansen Simmental Ranch will donate the pro-
ceeds from the sale of one open heifer – the
buyer’s choice – directly to Jordyn to help her
pay for her medical expenses and travel to and
from Rochester, Minn.
2013 Benefit Auction for
Jordyn and Landon Brandt
Donated by Hansen Simmental Ranch, Kevin &
Cody (Brandt) Hansen
Three days before Christmas, Cody’s niece and
nephew, 22-year-old Jordyn (Left) and 14-year-
old Landon Brandt (Center) of Granville, N.D.,
were traveling home from Minot, N.D. on U.S.
Highway 2 when a west-bound car, driving on
the wrong side of the road, collided head-on
with their vehicle. Jordyn sustained multiple
leg injuries and was taken to Trinity Hospital in
Minot, N.D. where she underwent surgery. She
was then airlifted to Rochester, Minn., for recon-
structive hip and leg surgery. Landon sustained
a fractured leg, broken nose, and jammed finger.
He was treated and released. Jordyn has since
returned to Minot, but has a long journey ahead
of her – with a considerable amount of rehab and
therapy. Her journey will take time, patience and
prayers. Hansens and Brandts say “thank-you”
to everyone who has thought of them since the
accident.
