For more than 25 years, Cow Creek’s flagship has been its
approach to practical, efficient and profitable genetics.To achieve
this we selected three foundation sire lines with highly heritable
traits and then stacked those genetics within our breeding triangle.
During past years, our selection of herd sires came without com-
promise. Every Cow Creek Ranch bull completes his full growing
cycle before he’s considered for herd sire use. He must have scored
above the average of more than 500 bulls in all 10 growth and car-
cass traits we measure.Then, his dam and her production record are
scrutinized. No bull was selected as a herd sire until due diligence
was completed at a year of age.This systematic breeding approach
improves our ability to produce uniform, efficient cattle with vol-
ume, guts and muscle that live up to our expectations time after
time.
