The origin of this cow fam-
ily came to us through
joint venture bull producer,
Richard Calhoun, Jefferson, North Carolina. The matriarch
of this cow family who landed at the ranch was 015A. Tim
Synar, Muskogee, Oklahoma, bred both her sire and dam.
The late Ray Mackey, a charter member of the
International Brangus Breeders Association, bred the
grand dam of this cow. The outcross genetics on the dam
side worked well with the stacked Cow Creek genetic
breeding program. 015T3 was selected as a donor cow for
our International embryo program.

This cow family is a strong maternal package packed with
feminity and performance. The 036 cow family has its ori-
gins from our purchase of the Segars Farm, Texas, and on
the dam’s side goes back to GLC Integrity 1/3, a powerful
carcass bull. All our calves out of 036 dams here at Cow
Creek have an average weaning ratio of 107 percent.We
love the clockwork productiveness of these females and
the muscle red meat of their sons.

I've been using Cow Creek Ranch bulls
for several years.Yesterday. I asked my
neighbor to haul a load of calves to the sale
barn for me. He's been in the cattle business
for over 50 years. As he looked at the calves
he said to me, I can't see any difference in
these calves. One is as good as the other. He
couldn't get over how good they were.They
weaned at 640 to 650 pounds and every-
thing's been from their mama on grass.
