It is with great pleasure that I am working on my third sale with Steve
and Cynthia Maier, at the C-Bar Ranch. I have watched with much excitement
as Steve has developed and built one of the most recognized Red Angus programs
in the industry today. His direction has been very clear... utilizing the best
females in the business and multiplying them through embryo transfer work.
The ongoing three year record drought has slowed him down in numbers but not
in spirit, and he has not wavered from the direction he envisioned right from the
beginning.
The success of his direction is evident when you turn the pages of all the
major AI Stud companies and you find bulls with the C-Bar prefix... quite an
accomplishment considering the limited resources. This offering is no exception,
and contains bulls that should definitely attract the eyes of the most astute
cattlemen in the industry.
This set of bulls has been developed with less grain and more roughage
than in the past. I believe this will be beneficial for the future longevity of the
bulls and ultimately the cattlemen that end up with them. The commercial
heifers being offered are second to none! They are uniform, very well developed,
reproductively sound, and sorted into meaningful groups for the buyer’s
convenience.
