Calf due 03/30/2013 sired by RHRA Gold Rush 402 17T
This cow has long been a favorite of mine because of her
moderation and style. Her record from BW to WW makes
her a curve bender. We selected this cow to flush this past
year because of her ability to bring in a big calf every fall.
Her ME EPD makes her an outlier for the Red Angus breed.
Calf due 03/26/2013 sired by VGW Oly 903
There are only three other cows in the Red Angus breed
that match her or are better on WW, YW, Marbling, and
REA. Nine sons have sold for an average of $7,027 to a
very distinguished group of customers. The last son sold to
Semex in our 2012 March Production Sale and is now being
marketed in their worldwide roundup. This cowline has
been a mainstay at Bieber Red Angus, and the daughters
we have produced will replace this outstanding donor.
Bull Calf due 03/23/2013 sired by RHRA Gold Rush 402 17T
One cowline dominated the top cows in our acquisition of
the Basin herd, and that was the Primrose line. This cow’s
ME number is not right in our opinion because we took her
out of production for a year each time to flush her. Origi-
nally, the reason we took her out was because she was one
of the more moderate cows in the herd. We really like the
daughters that we have and expect that they will make
sure that Primrose 4167 leaves a mark on the herd.

Flushing this cow was a no-brainer since she posts a 110
MPPA, but we never got it done. We decided to sell every
bred cow born before 2004, so she gets included. Connie
has a daughter that we still have and will likely end up in
the program. This cow needs to be a donor.
Bull Calf due 05/25/2013 sired by Bieber H Hughes W109
This is a very powerful cow, and her progeny have been
right behind her. Her pedigree is pretty unusual for the
breed. We kept Dateline 10320’s first son to use and have
some pretty good daughters out of him. Last spring an ET
son sold to CRV and is now in their semen catalog lineup.
Heifer Calf due 03/08/2013 sired by Paringa Iron Ore E27
Laura is another cow we talk about and should have
flushed, but the opportunity never came up. Her Packer
son sold last spring to Harrison Ranch and was one of the
top Packer sons in the sale. This Cherokee Canyon daugh-
ter has the phenotype to surely be considered. Just because
we didn’t get enough of her life to flush her doesn’t mean
you shouldn’t. A full sisters sells as 81.
