SALE LOCATION & DIRECTIONS
Announcements made sale day and from the auction block take prece-
dence over printed materials in the catalog or other printed material
associated with the sale. Anyone attending the sale does so at their
own risk. Any of the sale force will not be responsible for any personal
injury for attending this sale. We are not responsible for any accidents,
damaged, or stolen items the day of the sale.
We are reserving the right to collect up to 100 units of semen on any
of the bulls, for in-herd use. The semen will be collected at the seller’s
expense and the buyer’s convenience. Please contact us if you have
any quesitons.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Please note that EPDs may change from the time the sale catalog is
printed to the time the registration paper is transferred.
Ultrasound, scrotal and gain data will be available the week before the
sale.

SALE PERSONNEL
Phone bid services will be available if an interested party cannot attend
the sale. Please leave your bid with any of the sales staff listed in the
catalog and we will do our best to accommodate you. We will try and
fulfill your request to the best of our ability and no “running” of the bid
will be allowed.
PHONE BIDS
We guarantee all bulls to be breeders and we reserve the right to test
any bulls in question as a non-breeder for at least 180 days before
making an adjustment. And, if the bull is declared a sound breeder
by a competent veterinarian, he will be returned to the buyer, at the
buyer’s expense. In case an adjustment is required, it will be made
with a replacement of equal value to the animal in question, credit on
purchase of another animal, or return of purchase price. We guaran-
tee cattle to be healthy sale day.
BREEDING GUARANTEE
Bulls were calfhood vaccinated with Bovisheild Gold 5, Oneshot Ultra,
7-way Somnus, and injected with Dectomax. At weaning, calves were
given Bovisheild Gold 5, 7-way Somnus and One Shot, boosters were
given of the bovishield Gold 5, and 7-way Somnus and they were
poured with Dectomax.
HEALTH PROGRAM
Motel rooms are available at Don’s Motel, located just off of Hwy. 83
and approximately one mile north of Linton Livestock. Reservations
should be made soon as space is limited. Reservations can be made
by calling (701) 254-5457.
ACCOMMODATIONS
All cattle sell under the Suggested Sale Terms & Conditions of the
American Simmental Association. (Available upon request.)
SALE TERMS
Homozygous Black
- Will only sire black calves when used on black
or nondiluter red cows. you will get mostly gray calves when used on
yellow cows or red cows that have the dilution gene.
Heterozygous Black
- Will sire both black and red calves when used
on nondiluter red cows. When used on yellow or red cows tha thave
the dilution gene you will get roughly half red and the rest will be gray,
with some blacks.
Homozygous polled
- All calves will be polled.
Heterozygous polled
- Approximately half of the calves will be polled
when used on horned cows.
COLOR & POLLED GUIDE
Bulls can be fed at the ranch after the sale for $100/hd. We would like
all bulls delivered by the end of April. Bulls will be semen tested be-
fore delivery. Hauling arrangements may be made between consignors
and buyers after the sale. We will offer free delivery within a 200 mile
radius and we will work with buyers who live further away to help pay
for hauling expenses.
If you choose to take your bull home on sale day we will offer a $50
discount of the purchase price and load out will be available after the
sale.
Customers who opt to have their bull(s) fed at the ranch are encour-
aged to purchase insurance. Insurance will be available for purchase
on sale day. We recommend insuring your bulls at least through the
first breeding season and this is a measure we employ in our own
programs as well. Full liability is assumed by they buyer when the
gavel falls. Bichler/Johnson Simmentals is not responsible for injury
or accidental death.
