Solid black. The sire of this calf, OLF Thor X54, was our high selling bull in 2011, going to Kappes
Simmentals in South Dakota. Bruce Kappes told me recently that he is very pleased with the Thor
calves, and they are using him extensively to breed heifers. This calf fits the pattern of the Thor calves.

the group. He is #4 in ADG and yearling weight, and has a powerful set of growth EPD’s. And here is
where it really gets interesting. The high selling bull in the 2012 sale is a maternal sibling. OLF Otis
Y43 was a tremendous calf and sold for $11,000 to Bar L 7 Simmentals, Calgary, Alberta. Otis is now
in the Bouchard Livestock bull battery.
