Dear Fellow Cattlemen,
It has once again been a pleasure working with the Amdahl family in making preparations for the
2013 Performance Plus Bull & Female Sale. This program has stacked generations of sires that excel in
frame moderation, calving ease, fleshing ability and the female base offers exceptional maternal strength with
numerous cows having earned Pathfinder status. These genetics have been well accepted and have influenced
herds across the country, as cattle that are efficient and can thrive on grass that will never go out of favor. The
Amdahl’s have looked to some of the most respected herds in the country for grass fed genetics with a strong
influence from the Ohlde herd in Kansas and a noticeable influence of Jauer Dependable Genetics in Iowa.
These are two programs that have intensively selected for decades to get those easy fleshing females who excel
in the pasture without supplement.
Throughout the sale offering you will find a strong set of yearling bulls; pedigreed and commercial,
purebred open and commercial heifers. There is even a selection of Herefords and an aged fall bull that is ready
to go out and
cover a large group of cows. All of these cattle are the cream
of their crops. They have the proven calving ease, maternal
characteristics and dispositions necessary. We are confident
that no matter what you are looking for you will find it in this
Amdahl offering that is backed by nearly three decades in the
purebred business and nearly thirteen in the cattle industry.

Welcome to the Amdahl Angus “Performance Plus” Bull & Female Sale. This is our
41st year in the registered Angus business. We want to thank our past customers,
friends and family that have meant so much to us over the years in our day to day
life and business.
Our goal is to serve our customers and provide the genetics that they need in their
cattle operations. We want to help their business to be more enjoyable and profit-
able for years to come.
We have worked with J and R Feeds this year to continue with a high roughage ration and their supple-
ments to build muscle not fat. Our goal is to grow these bulls out so they are ready to go to work for their new owners
this spring.
As you can see we have invited a new guest consignor with Hereford Bulls. We welcome the Hunt Family Herefords with the sons and grandsons of the
Genex AI sire Victor 719T. We feel you will appreciate the quality, strength and eye appeal in these 6 Hereford bulls. The Hunts enjoy their Hereford
cattle and we think you will too. Also, this year we have fall Red Angus and Black Angus bulls by OCC Easy Read (a Red Angus sire) and OCC Rear
End (a Black Angus sire). These deep bodied thick bulls will move any program forward.
We welcome back RK Angus, Scott and Todd Knochenmus. We have worked with them since 1988. They have a strong offering of bulls and females.
Back again are Ted and Kaye Tesher for a third year with a good offering of efficient, eye appealing bulls.
Terry Tood, DVM, “No Creek Ranch” has a group of AI sired, super calving ease, easy fleshing, maternal bred bulls. Many carry a guarantee for calv-
ing ease. They also have a group of 23 AI sired females that will be those efficient mother cows when they mature.
All the bulls have been at Amdahl Angus this winter and can be viewed here. They have been fed and tested here and carry the Amdahl Angus guarantee.
All bulls are rated for calving ease, fleshing ability and disposition, 1-5 stars (see our rating chart).
This is the strongest offering we have ever offered and look forward to your questions and time to look at the cattle. Feel free to give us a call or stop
by and view the cattle. They will be in place early Monday morning at the Mitchell, South Dakota Livestock Auction and before that at Amdahl Angus
headquarters.

All bulls have received a breeding soundness exam and have been test-
ed BVD/PI Free. The bulls are current on their vaccinations. Bulls
have also received a breeding shot, foot rot shot and anthrax vaccina-
tion. Females had breeding shots and bangs vaccination. North West
Vet Clinic (605-928-3025) will be available for Interstate health papers
and questions sale day.

Repeat customers receive a 5% discount on bulls purchased and all
buyers receive a volume discount of 5% on 5 or more bulls.
We also offer a Mature Bull Discount to anyone bringing a cull bull
to the sale barn. Amdahl Angus will give an additional $200 off on a bull
purchased at our sale.
