2013 FALL BORN BULLS
This outstanding set of age advantage bulls can hold their own with others anywhere. Each bull has undergone a complete
breeding soundness exam, including semen evaluation, prior to the sale. They have had a complete vaccination program
including a booster in February with Zoetis™ Bovi-shield Gold + VL5 and are ready to turn out without further vaccinations
this season. In addition, every sale animal has tested negative for BVD-PI. The bulls were ultrasound scanned October 6,
2014. Scrotal measurements are actual measurements taken at semen evaluation on January 19, 2015. Frame score is the
most variable of all objectively measured traits, and the one that has given us the most grief over the years. Because of the
lack of consistency when measuring animals several times, we no longer assign a numerical value to frame score. See page
3 for a description of our frame score postings. This set of bulls was developed on 260 acres of native range this summer
while being supplemented with a commodity ration just enough to express differences in growth rate. This winter we
moved them to one of our large rocky traps at the sale facility. Their limited energy diet and lots of exercise make for hard,
fit, athletic bulls ready for heavy service. These bulls are a prime example of why when comparing across contemporary
groups it is important to use only EPDs. Our fall born bulls routinely wean lighter than their Spring born counterparts due to
environmental differences. Our gnomically enhanced EPDs are the most accurate in the industry. (see page 5.)

Lot 1 and 2 represent an opportunity not
generally found. Full ET brothers, sale day
marks their second birthday. It is rare to find a
pair of two year old herd sire quality full
brothers. And they are ready to cover a lot of
cows. Their sire, Beckton Nebula P707, needs
no introduction. Mushrush Lana 9037, their
dam, was one of the most prolific cows to grace
our pastures. She weaned 11 straight calves,
putting every heifer in the replacement pen.
